He tracks John to a sleepy little village in England, determined to take their relationship to a new level.

"I curse you and your children's children, that you shall all live out your allotted years, and that those years shall be filled with grief and loss and betrayal, even as you have betrayed and bereaved me."

Four hundred years ago in rural England, a mob burned two men to death, but not before one of them, Jonathan Curtess, hurled a dreadful curse at the mob's leader, Sir Belvedere Fitzwarren. The curse has followed the family through the centuries, bringing grief and loss to each generation.

Mark  Renfrew is a closeted psychic and openly gay. When his grandmother discovers a family link to a 17th century feud and a still-potent curse, she insists he investigates and do his best to end it. When he travels to the village of Steeple Westford, he meets and falls for Jack Faulkner, an archaeologist. He also meets the Fitzwarrens, who are facing yet another tragedy.

Then Mark learns that the man who cursed them had twisted the knife by leaving three cryptic conditions that would lift the curse, and he knows he has to try to break the curse his ancestor had set.

 The Fool's Odyssey Trilogy

Book 2:

When Xavi becomes an accidental witness to the murder of a wealthy woman
he knows exactly what to do - get the hell out of there, fast! Xavi lives on the
edge of the law; he and the police don't exactly mix. Unfortunately the cop who
is sent after him turns out to have some rather unusual abilities, so it isn't
long before their paths cross - which is roughly when Xavi begins to realize
that getting caught may be the very least of his troubles.

First in the Fool’s Odyssey Trilogy - Xavi is a sometime hooker, sometime gigolo, working the rich pickings of wealthy tourists and bored socialites of Barcelona in 2042. His current meal ticket is Sophia Matas, the wife of a prominent politician. Then Sophia is assassinated and he’s the only witness. Within hours, Xavi finds himself in protective custody and in a safe house. His guardian is Andreas, a vampire liaising with the Barcelona police.
Andreas needs to exert control - of himself, his abilities, and his relationships. Now he must keep Xavi safe.  If he can keep Xavi in one place long enough. They embark on an affair that will define who and what they are, played out in an deadly dance of kill-or-be-killed danger.

A fluke accident puts Perry in a coma. When he awakes, his scrambled synapses have given him a talent; he can tell truth from lies. This, plus the new client, Drew Connors, who is too attractive for Perry's peace of mind, Drew's contentious family and the dilapidated old mansion Perry has to restore for him, not to mention the anonymous threats that escalate to attempted murder, all ensure that Perry's life will never be the same again.

Injured on duty and no longer fit for active service, soon-to-be-ex-Coast Guard Bran Kaulana is drifting, filling his days helping out at the Wai Ola Rescue Center, one of Honolulu's wildlife charities. He's working with the new veterinary, Steve Lucas, a man drawn to O'ahu by his fascination with dolphins.

As their friendship slowly deepens, the two men are caught up in the mystery of injured seals and dolphins, a ruthless gang of smugglers and a not so dormant undersea lava vent.

Flein is a wanderer by instinct and need, roaming the known world as the fancy takes him.

In the Highland village of Glenfinnan, women have been raped and brutally murdered. The killer is a waterhorse, a monstrous shapeshifter by all accounts. But when Flein meets Donnchadh, first in its equine form, then its man-shape, he knows the waterhorse is innocent. As they hunt for the real murderer, Flein reluctantly becomes more and more drawn to the handsome shapeshifter. Donnchadh, though wary, shares the same attraction.

But time is against them. They must find the killer before more women die. Then suspicion is turned on them and the hunters become the hunted.

 - This is not absolutely a "light" tale... but probably it respects the myths and legends. Donnchadh is not a "shapeshifter" for romance novel, he is scaring and dangerous... this is only a novella, but it's a very good one... - awarded Five Stars at Amazon.com Kindle Store

Chris Quinton’s Dark Waters is a wonderful story set in the Highlands. There is action, suspense, and sweltering erotic encounters between Flein and Donnchadh. Donnchadh has never known companionship and finds that with Flein. Flein has had others share his life with him, but he has never felt the completeness that Donnchadh is able to deliver. The characters are strong, the plot keeps you engrossed, and the story on a whole was intriguing. It was definitely a wonderful break from the normal shapeshifter novels that have crossed my desk and well worth a read or two awarded 5 Nymphs

Night Owl Reviews - I liked the gritty telling of the murder mystery as well as the love between Flein and Donnchadh it made me want to jump into the book and help them succeed awarded 4.5 stars

Fallen Angel Reviews - This was an intriguing little tale...I really liked Chris Quinton’s style and look forward to reading more by this author - awarded 4 Angels
